Loan to Value Ratio (LTV)

Loan to Value Ratio

(often called as LTV) is a very simple number.

It is the amount of the loan divided by the actual value of the property.

Let us look at an example; Say your mortgage amount is $300,000.00 and the real value of your home is $400,000.00. So your loan to value ratio is 300,000/400,000 = 75.00%.
